CES 2021: AMD’s Lisa Su Keynote

Quite a day at the first virtual CES.
A totally overwhelming amount of content...which by all accounts is the same as attending the physical version!

These four 2020 pandemic related stats from just one of the talks (the Keynote by
AMD's Lisa Su) caught my attention:

1. More than 300m PCs were sold in 2020 (highest figure since 2014)
2. 40% of the world's population now play computer games (3.1 bn)
3. 4 in 5 consumers in the US have played a video game in the last 6 months
4. 3.5 trillion minutes were spent on
Zoom

Picking up on the last stat....that is ONLY on Zoom....
That is the equivalent of EVERY person on the earth spending 7.5 hours on Zoom last year.
This might explain their Valuation going from $16.1bn in Jan 2020 to $101.3bn (Jan 12th)...

Back to my Zoom call and a bit of gaming then...
