🔥 Intimacy -> Vulnerability -> Authenticity -> Trust = Good Relationships

It doesn't sound like a work based equation...but it is!

In September I attended the latest of
The Marketing Society's' "Breakfast with a CEO" in London.
Sophie Devonshire⚡️'s (the CEO of The Marketing Society) guest was Will Stratton-Morris, the wonderfully honest, empathetic and inspiring CEO of Caffè Nero.

🧠 Since then, I haven't been able to stop thinking about what Will said about building trust on his teams.
🏰 He has built a structure and program where Caffe Nero teams are able to safely share more about themselves with each other.
💛 This can be very personal and emotional, sharing personal journeys and life stories...which results in people becoming more emotionally connected to each other.
⚡ With that connection comes authenticity...and as a result trust.
And trust leads to better and stronger relationships.

So for Will...."The Key 🔑 " to successful relationships seems to be "Trust"....and the way to help build trust is to get to know each other on more than a purely 'work' level.

🔥 This for me clearly applies to Agencies' and Clients' relationships too. Getting to know the teams you are working with helps so much. A purely transactional interaction is going to build a transactional relationship. If you want the work you create together to be amazing...put the time in to get to know each other a bit better.
